Fishing Report - May 4, 2015
Monday, May 4th, 2015Crappie - Beautiful weekend on Lake Talquin…crappie bite was good..several good catches was brought in trolling in 10 to 14 feet of water…jig colors bubble gum, blue/black and sour grape…using 1/16oz lite wire hooks…orange, white and black was the best colors. Also, crappie still being caught in the pads with minnows.
Bream/Shellcrackers - Several good quality catches was brought in this weekend…some was caught on the bed using crickets and red worms.
Bass - Good reports on bass being caught in the 3 to 4 foot of water using junebug trick worms and rattletraps.
Catfish - Lots of catfish being caught all over the lake with Sonny’s stink bait and red worms.
Our 5th annual Rusty Leverette tournament was a great success…good fellowship, food, fishng and most of all remembering our Lake Talquin family that has passed on. Thanks to all that help make this tournament a success. Congratulations to the crappie tournament winners.
